We've had teenage artists at Mountville several times over the years, but 2024 marks the first time that one of our own families is represented by the next generation leading their own set. Fiddler Madi McKnight along with her dad Andrew on guitar and Michael Rohrer on bass comprise The Porch Wrens, playing a wide array of Madi's favorite Celtic and oldtime Appalachian tunes. Madi's got special guests lined up to join them too. She and Ben Demase (Insert Title Policy) are seniors at local Loudoun Valley High School, taking their place in a line of wonderful Valley artists at Mountville, like The Acoustic Burgoo, Jake & the Burtones and Melissa Wright. Madi's set opens Mountville 2024, and reminds us older folks that the future is already here.
