We're over that full moon with excitement to welcome back Miles Spicer, one third of longtime Mountville favorites MSG Acoustic Blues Trio, with his latest performing project. Founded in 2022 to compete in the local DC area Blues Challenge (they won!), Spice Cake blends Yaya Patterson’s stellar jazz vocals with Miles’ acoustic guitar to create a tasty platter of blues treats. Yaya studied music therapy and jazz voice at a collegiate level and is also a songwriter and guitarist. Her youthful, exuberant energy and Miles’ deep roots in the Piedmont blues are irresistable ingredients, and their performances of original songs and blues standards alike will leave you demanding a second helping of Spice Cake.
