Singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Lisa Taylor was already a force on the DMV acoustic music scene when she played at the first Mountville in 1994. Her two solo albums, Sibling Rivalry and True North, showcased her as a force of nature - her incredible voice, gift for lyric and melody, and her unique rhythm textures won her lots of fans. She rarely performs solo, but she's a fixture on drums for Andrew McKnight & Beyond Borders, Big Giant, and several other local acts. The 30th Annual Mountville was enough to coax her out front with guitar again, hosting the Friday night finale round-robin set with fellow singer/songwriters Annette Wasilik and Lynn Hollyfield beneath a full “Strawberry Moon” Friday June 21st.
Our Friday Finale "Songwriters in the Round" set is graciously underwritten by the Songwriter's Association of Washington; "All About The Song".
