    Strengthening our Foundation with Underwriters

Our Mountville family knows that we have had to do a lot of "new" work this year, in part because of our 2-night celebration, but also because Mountville couldn't continue hoping that "donations at the gate will cover it somehow". Your generosity has this year's festival on solid ground, and likely a good start on next year too - thank you!

We've been creative about other ways to help going forward. We reached out to several area businesses and organizations who share some of our mission, and/or our values and "vibe". We are thrilled to have considerable support from some wonderful underwriters to make this 30th Annual an epic celebration. Mountville is grateful to each, and we're looking forward to welcoming them and you here June 21-22.

Firstly a huge thank you to our Premium Supporter, our friends at Catoctin Creek Distilling Company. They started this week with 3 huge awards for their excellent quality & locally-sourced spirits, distilled right in the heart of Purcellville. Catoctin Creek is a pillar of our community in so many ways, and they are longtime local music supporters.

We are also delighted to partner with Focus Music who present concerts all around the DMV (that's DC, Maryland and Virginia), the Songwriters' Association of Washington who host showcases and workshops around the region as well, Moore Music (In the House) concert series from Rockville MD, and our local philanthropic organization, the Aldie Ruritan Club. Each of them helps strengthen our connections to our regional folk and acoustic music scene, and our local community.

And we're excited to welcome our western Loudoun neighbors from Shamrock Music Shoppe and the Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center, the support group for our local theater/concert hall. Shamrock is planning to be on site for the weekend with some guitars and instruments for sale, so you can join in the late night campfire jams with your new ax!

Each of our underwriters will have something for you in our “swag bags" when you sign in at Hospitality (and signing in is one of our few requirements for attending, thank you!).

If you are part of an organization that would like to be connected with the Mountville Folk Festival, there’s still time, so please send us a note!
