We Did It! (And You Can See It, Mostly)

Our 30th annual Mountville is officially in the books as a resounding success, despite two days of nearly 100° afternoon temperatures. A total of thirteen acts over two days turned in a complete top-shelf program from start to finish, connecting generations, centering female artists, and showcasing an amazing diversity of musical styles at a high level, yet with the casual warmth and intimacy Mountville audiences love.

And if you missed it, take heart! We livestreamed it to the best of our abilities, although the heat was an incredible challenge for all of our digital tools as well as the people. The opening set from The Porch Wrens Friday night (huzzah!) was mostly audio only, and cut short by a song and a half. And Saturday afternoon's sets had varying degrees of struggles with audio, video and camera switching. Nonetheless, we persevered and did the best we could to capture an amazing and magical weekend for posterity.

So here it is, two separate YouTubes with links in the description to go directly to a performance. If you are motivated to donate something to help with the festival, or to tip any of the artists you enjoy, our thanks in advance for doing so. For more about this year's artists and Underwriters, please visit the 2024 tab for the Program.

Friday night brought The Porch Wrens (feat. Madi McKnight), David A. Alberding, Furnace Mountain Duo, and a special Songwriters-in-the-Round set with Lynn Hollyfield, Annette Wasilik and host Lisa Taylor.

Saturday's show featured Sunny@Midnight, Insert Title Policy (Ben Demase), The LaDaDas, Tony Denikos, Cary Cooper, Spice Cake, and our host band Andrew McKnight & Beyond Borders
