Bluebird songstress Sherry Stewart first came to Mountville with her sister Valeria in their band The Stewart Sisters back in 2016. Now together with groove master Jeff Smith in Sunny@Midnight, they deliver their unique blend of folk-rock with enthusiastic energy, wit and humor. Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter whose compositions have been featured in popular television programs such as “Young Sheldon”, “Army Wives”, and “The Young and the Restless”. Inspired by the harmonies and rhythms of nature, love, and the human condition, Sherry’s songs are delivered with a sassy gospel-blues swagger, while her unique blend of guitar, mandolin, and flute fills out their signature sound. The duo are the songwriting core of the Sunny@Midnight quintet, whose 2023 debut record Break My Heart has earned considerable nationwide airplay. Their melodies and lyrics are entertaining and insightful and the groove is absolutely infectious…in a good way! We are excited to have them kick off Saturday's show - 2pm sharp, don't be late!
