We're thrilled beyond measure to welcome Texas-born, North Carolina-planted singer/songwriter Cary Cooper back to Mountville for the first time in way too long. She graced our stage twice in the 00s as one half of The Dreamsicles with Tom Prasada-Rao. Her discography includes 6 solo albums (Gypsy Train, Yellow, Dirty Little Secret, Pink Umbrella, Zuzu’s Petals and Case of the Hopefuls) and two duo albums with TPR (The Dreamsicles and Luv Songs for Grown Ups). Cary’s songs are funny and poetic, inspiring portraits of ordinary life and love that move you to laughter and tears while always encouraging you to contemplate living your best life. Her songcraft is highly decorated too; past Kerrville New Folk Winner, two-time Emerging Artist at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, and a two-time finalist in the Dave Carter Songwriting Contest (Sisters Folk Festival), the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase and the Telluride Troubadour Contest. What an amazing dessert set to follow Saturday's dinner hour!
